Aarzoo's contribution in enriching Urdu literature is considered immortal and invaluable. He was a Hanafite by religious belief. His literary criticism is of a very high standard. He purified Urdu language and introduced idiomatic uses to give the language a modern style. Clarity of expression and poetic perfection were absent before his literary creations. Like all other contemporary poets, he used a particular figure of speech, to portray the wonderful effect of the language.
